Karate

Held in the aerobics room of the Martinsville YMCA and taught by Rodney Boyd of Kim's School of Tae Kwon Do. Youth meet Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and adults meet from 7:30-8:45 p.m. See instructor for current rates.

NEW Kids Yoga

Learn Yoga through themed weeks.  Ages 3-5 years old Friday. 9:00 - 9:45 am.
Cost $ 25.00 members  $ 35.00 non members

Easter Holiday Fun Camp

Daily program of supervised activities for children for grades k-5 (ages 5-15). Children need a bag lunch, favorite toy or board game, a swim suit and a towel if attending the Martinsville camp. This program takes place at the Martinsville and Collinsville YMCA's during the Easter Holidays. Camp is held from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost is $15.00 per day. A minimum of 15 full-time children per day is needed to have camp each day.

Christmas Holiday Fun Camp

Daily programs of superivsed activities for children grades k-6. Children need a bag lunch, favorite toy or game and a smile. This program will occur during the Christmas break for city schools at the Maritnsville YMCA and for County schools at the Collinsville YMCA. If children attend the Maritnsville camp they will need a swim suit and a towel. A minimum of 18 children are need to have the camp. You may register at the YMCA or at After School sites with the purchase of a punch card.

NEW Short Sports I & Short Sports II

Learn sports like basketball, soccer, t-ball and other team sports.

Cheerleading!!

A fun and exciting cheerleading program for children ages 4-14. Class is available to boys and girls. This class promotes coordination, confidence, poise, artistic expression, competitive spirit, and physical fitness. Students will learn the following: fundamentals of pom and cheerleading dance routines, parade routines, cheers, chants, leaps, jumps, how to perform in front of audiences, and tryouts for junior and senior high school squads. Classes are 45 minutes of "Fun and instruction." Classes are held at the Martinsville YMCA.

The Martinsville YMCA operates a before and after school program for all remaining city elementary schools (632-0670). Students are bused to the YMCA daily. The Collinsville YMCA also operates a before and after school program (647-1384) each week day. Each site provides a structured homework time, a nutritious snack, large motor play, arts and crafts, and other selected activities.

NEW Racquetball Class

Learn the fundamentals and rules of racquetball. Eye guards required.
Ages 9 - 17  Wednesday 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

NEW Sewing Class

Sew a sundress, shorts or other apparel.  Material cost are extra
