Youth Aquatic Programs

Senior Lifesaving

Certification course as a YMCA Lifeguard. Class includes: lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and oxygen administration. Cost is $150.00 Prerequisites: Ages 16 and over. Must be able to swim 500 yards, or 20 lengths, tread water, and swim underwater for 15 feet.

Progressive Swim Lessons

Includes parent-Tot, Preschool, and Youth classes. All classes taught in the recreational pool at Martinsville and Collinsville are $40.00 for members and $60.00 for non-members. Classes taught in the Therapy Pool are $55.00.

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are given by a YMCa instructor at request. Cost is $30.00 and hour for members and $45.00 an hour for non-members. Classes can be taught in 30 minute or 1 hour sessions.

Teen Swim Classes

Classes designed for swimmers 13 and over interested in learning about technical and competitive swimming.

Boy Scout Swim

Instruction centered on the Boy Scouts of America guidelines for achieving a swimming merit badge. Instruction is level specific. Cost is $40.00 per troop.
